# Transferring to Fogo

Wormhole makes it simple to move your crypto between different blockchains. It connects Fogo to the wider multichain ecosystem — so you can send tokens, access liquidity, and interact with apps across other supported networks.

Transfers to and from Fogo are already live and can be made via [Portal Bridge](https://portalbridge.com/), [Mayan](https://mayan.finance/), or via the bridging extension in Fogo Sessions.

:tada:Transferring USDC to Fogo currently earns rewards through the [Portal Bridge Earn](https://earn.portalbridge.com/campaign/fogo-usdc) program. Every $ you transfer earns you XP (and it opens you up to the on-chain trading experience on Fogo). Rewards are earned regardless of how you transfer.

Note: You can currently transfer USDC only. Support for additional assets will be added in future updates.

## How to transfer

There are two ways to transfer USDC to and from Fogo: using the integrated widget in your Fogo Sessions wallet or using the Portal Bridge UI. Both methods leverage Wormhole for seamless asset transfers between Fogo and other blockchains.

:warning:**Note:** When transferring USDC from Solana -> Fogo, you *must* have both USDC and sufficient SOL on Solana to cover gas and rent fees and, in the case of Option 2, the gas dropoff fee of $4.

### Step 1 — Choose your transfer method

#### Option 1: Fogo Sessions (recommended)

* Best for Solana users.
* Supports multiple Solana wallets, including Phantom.
* Smooth and direct transfer process.

How to use Fogo Sessions:

### Connect to Fogo Sessions

* Go to [portfolio.fogo.io](https://portfolio.fogo.io/)
* Click “Sign in” and select your Solana wallet
* Sign the message to connect (ensure the domain matches portfolio.fogo.io)

### Start transfer

* Click “Transfer In”
* Enter the amount of USDC you wish to bridge from your Solana wallet
* Follow the prompts to send your USDC to Fogo

:warning:Transferring out to Solana incurs a fee of 2 USDC.

#### Option 2: Wormhole Portal Bridge + Nightly Wallet

* Use this if you are transferring USDC from a chain other than Solana.
* Requires installation of the [Nightly wallet](https://nightly.app/).

How to use Wormhole Portal Bridge + Nightly:

### Install Nightly

* Install the [Nightly wallet](https://nightly.app/).

* Go to [https://portalbridge.com](https://portalbridge.com/)
* Connect your source wallet
* Select USDC as your token
* Choose Fogo as the destination
* Paste your Nightly wallet address manually
* Complete the transfer

:warning:**Please note:** Transfers in are subject to a 0.01% fee paid to Portal Bridge. Transfers *out* of Fogo back to Solana via Portal Bridge and Nightly are subject to a 7 $FOGO fee. When you transfer *into* Fogo, via Portal Bridge, you will receive 10 $FOGO in return for a $4 **gas dropoff** fee on Solana *if* your $FOGO balance on the Fogo blockchain is 0.

### Step 2 — View your tokens

After transferring, go to [portfolio.fogo.io](https://portfolio.fogo.io/) and sign in with your wallet to view your USDC balance on Fogo.

## Summary

* Fogo Sessions is the recommended option for Solana users. It supports multiple wallets and provides the best user experience.
* Wormhole + Nightly allows transfers from other chains but requires more manual steps and has limited transfer-out functionality.
* Only USDC transfers are supported at this time.

Once your USDC appears in your portfolio on Fogo, your transfer is complete.
